This is a short title sequence of the book Uprooted by Naomi Novik, it was created in AE and Illustrator. The music is "By The Winds" by Sergey Cheremisinov

A short animation that was created to fit the music.
The music is a combination of Tom Rosenthal's All of Them Dreams, Alt-J's Deadcrush, and Oh Wonder's Livewire and Lifetimes.

How can we use projection to change the way we view or interact with space?
This was made in Unity, and we played around with the relationship between a private and public space. The private space is the bathroom, and the public space includes where this was projected and the audience that watches it.

We were inspired by Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man and mainly from the quote "an invisible man to hear the silence of sound."
The background animation was made in Unity and as it plays, the audience can stand and watch from afar or they can go into a separate area to experience this as well. When a person sits there, they become visible to the audience with live capture made in Processing. Capturing the way they move mimicking city lights. We wanted people sitting in the separate area to feel isolated and experience the projection differently by obstructing the view and damping the audio using a large styrofoam board.
